Squarespace Status Page

Whilst working on a site last week I kept getting a 503 error. At first I wasn’t sure if it was an issue on my end, with my internet provider, or with Squarespace itself.

Initially I looked at DownDetector and could see that a few people had started to report issues with Squarespace.

I then took a look at status.squarespace.com where they had put up a warning that there were some connectivity issues causing a partial outage.

I noticed a ‘Subscribe’ button at the top of the site, this provides you with an option to sign up for notifications from Squarespace when there’s an outage, or the outage has been resolved. There’s a number of channels through which you can subscribe, including getting email notifications, text notifications, connecting your slack account or following their social media channels.

This could be super useful for both website owners & developers so wanted to share!
